Military Leave Handbook Statement: North Carolina

In addition to the military leave rights set forth in the National Handbook, employees who are members of the North Carolina National Guard are entitled to take an unpaid leave of absence when called into state active duty by the Governor. Employees will not be required to use accrued vacation or other paid leave during the period of active service.
