Changing Employee Benefit Offerings: FAQs Added, Employment Law Manual Updated

To help employers understand their rights and responsibilities when it comes to the delicate task of changing an employee benefit offering or contribution, HR & Compliance Center has added two new FAQs:
- Is an employer required to go through a consultation process with employees if it decides to cut or reduce certain workplace benefits, such as paid time off (e.g., vacation days, holidays)?
- If an employee stops making contributions to a 401(k) plan while on sabbatical, may the employer stop making contributions during this time also?
The Retirement Benefits section of the Employment Law Manual has also been updated.
