When to Use
An employer with 100 or more full-time employees may be subject to the strict provisions of the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) Act if it plans to discharge 50 or more employees. This checklist can be used as a guidance tool to help an employer identify employees and complete a reduction in force (RIF) under the WARN Act.
