Florida employers with 25 or more employees should consider including this statement in their handbook to educate employees, including supervisors, about Florida's E-Verify law and the potential ramifications if employment eligibility cannot be verified, and to demonstrate compliance with the law.
Effective July 1, Florida will require all private employers with 25 or more employees to use the federal E-Verify system to check the immigration status of their workers.
