Tennessee employers with 15 or more employees should consider including this statement in their handbook to educate employees about the availability of reasonable accommodations for medical needs arising from pregnancy, childbirth or related medical conditions and to demonstrate compliance with Tennessee law.
Virginia employers with five or more employees are required by law to include this statement in their handbook to educate employees about the availability of reasonable accommodations for pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions and to comply with a handbook policy requirement.
As mandated by the Virginia Office of the Attorney General, Office of Civil Rights, covered employers must post the Virginia Pregnancy Discrimination Information Sheet.
