Updated to reflect changes to the definition of wages, payment of wages, deductions, equal pay, minimum wages, pensions, income tax and social security, lay-offs, mandatory bonuses, and pay and benefit obligations for gig and platform workers, following the landmark reform of labour laws enacted on 21 November 2025, which merged central legislations into four comprehensive new Labour Codes.
Updated to reflect changes to hours of work, annual leave, maternity and pregnancy rights, fixed-term workers, contract labour, gig workers and platform workers, inter-state migrant workers, closure of undertakings, disciplinary and grievance procedures, and standing orders, following the landmark reform of labour laws enacted on 21 November 2025, which merged central legislations into four comprehensive new Labour Codes.
Updated to reflect that the Code on Wages, the Industrial Relations Code, the Code on Social Security and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code have been implemented from 21 November 2025.
